ULI Alberta Walking Tour - Rossdale Community, Edmonton
Rossdale is one of Edmonton's oldest neighbourhoods,
with a rich history and bold plans for its future. Over the years, many plans
have been proposed - from canals, to markets, to gondolas. Few of these plans
have ever taken shape. Will a reenergized Rossdale emerge over the coming
decade? Curious
to learn how the Real Estate Sector will have a role in this transformational
work? Join ULI Alberta and the City of Edmonton on June 7 to learn what's ahead
for the heart of Rossdale and more about this area's development concept.
Our tour group will be guided by representatives from the City of Edmonton, which include:
§ David Johnston, Principal Heritage Planner - Heritage Planning (Adjacent Projects)
§ Avril McCalla, Senior Policy Advisor - Real Estate (Project Lead, River Crossing Business Plan)
§ Kevin Brygidyr, Program Manager - Open Spaces Planning and Design (Adjacent Projects)
to help illustrate the vision to bring main-street commercial, people-first streets and hundreds of additional residents along 96 Avenue and Rossdale Road. Supporting this business plan are a planned Indigenous Interpretive Park, a new park promenade along the northern banks of the North Saskatchewan River and plans for bringing new life to the Rossdale Power Plant.
