Committees
Join a Committee or Initiative as a Volunteer
At the heart of ULI are our members and the organization is defined by what our members contribute to their communities, each other, and the real estate industry. A privilege of membership in ULI is that you can become involved in leadership opportunities by involvement in our local committees.
As a member-based organization, none of our work would be possible without the support of our volunteer committees. Our committees are composed of ULI Alberta members active in the field of land use and real estate and are chaired by dedicated ULI leaders that have been appointed by staff and our board.
Communications Committee
Our Communications Committee provides marketing and PR support, and builds awareness of ULI Alberta and its mission, and promotes its programs and events to the membership and the community through the website, social media, and other marketing and PR initiatives.
Finance Committee
The Treasurer provides oversight for the fiscal management of ULI Alberta, participate in the preparation and approval of the annual budget and forecasts, approve expenditures, and provide ULI Alberta with regular updates on ULI Alberta’s financial position.

This committee also is responsible for recruiting and retaining our sponsors. Sponsorship is fundamental to the success of ULI Alberta and our activities are made possible through the generous support of our sponsors.
Research and Education Committee

Programming Committee
The Programming Committee is responsible for the development of a diverse range of events and educational opportunities offered by ULI Alberta, including annual events like the Annual Real Estate Outlook featuring the Emerging Trends in Real Estate Report, Fireside Chat Series and other smaller monthly events.
Young Leaders Group
The Young Leaders Group, members under the age of 35, hosts a range of programs and events throughout the year. Events range from happy hours to walking and project tours and from technology to professional development.
In order to support our increasingly high profile events and day to day operations, ULI Alberta looks for volunteers to help – whether helping out at an event or becoming a member of one of our committees. If you are interested in becoming part of our team, please contact us for more information.
