ULI Alberta - Dominion YYC Tour and Recent Developments at Bridgeland-Riverside
A key concept in tackling the current housing crises, the “15-minute City” enables residents to access daily amenities within a short 15–20-minute walk, cycle or other mode of transport from any point in a city, regardless of size.
Join us as we explore the idea of the 15-minute City, as Chelsey Marshall, Director of Sales, Marketing and Leasing at Bucci Developments will provide an inside-look at the recently constructed accommodations at Dominion YYC, which comprises amenity-rich rental housing, 24-hour access to co-working spaces, striking views and quick access to downtown, including direct access to the Bridgeland LRT. Dominion is Bucci’s fifth project in Bridgeland with plans to add another 337 homes in the area over the next 5 years.
Following the site tour, Calgary Ward 9 City Councilor Gian-Carlo Carra will share future plans and current innovative developments taking place in the historic community of Bridgeland-Riverside which further support the 15-Minute City concept.
After the tour and discussion, we welcome tour participants to join us for a drink and appetizers at Cabeza Grande, conveniently located at the base of Dominion YYC.

Chelsey has over 15 years experience in Real Estate development and project sales and marketing across Western Canada. In 2015, Chelsey assumed management of Sales and Marketing at Bucci Developments which eventually expanded to include Leasing. Chelsey's background in Journalism and Environmental Design equally inform her approach to market dynamics and project development.

Gian-Carlo Carra serves as Councillor of Ward 9 in Calgary. He was first elected in 2010 and subsequently re-elected in 2013, 2017 and 2021. His campaign platform “Great Neighborhoods” under which he ran is a “synthesis of leading practices from across North America", grounded in the ideal that “Great Neighbourhoods make a Great City.” Councillor Carra completed both his BA and MA (Environmental Design/Urban Design) at the University of Calgary. Gian-Carlo's career as an award-winning urban design professional and as a community activist has been shaped by his fundamental belief in the principles of design-based civic engagement.
